1. When GoodBuddy sends a text

During a call, GoodBuddy may offer to send information connected with the caller's enquiry—for example a booking confirmation, address, requested link or next step. A message is sent only after the caller agrees or otherwise requests it.

2. Message type and frequency

Messages are transactional and relate to the reason for the call. GoodBuddy does not use this consent to send unrelated promotional or marketing messages.

The usual frequency is one message for a call, unless the caller asks for another message or an ongoing booking workflow clearly requires one.

3. Consent records

Consent may be captured verbally during a recorded or transcribed call, through a form, or by the caller sending a message first. The business using GoodBuddy is responsible for configuring lawful messaging and for honouring the caller's choices.

4. STOP, HELP and charges

Reply STOP to withdraw consent for messages from that sender. Reply HELP for assistance. The sender should action an unsubscribe request promptly and within any period required by New Zealand law.

Standard mobile carrier message or data charges may apply. GoodBuddy does not control those charges.

5. Privacy and sharing

Telephone numbers and SMS consent records are used to deliver and support requested messages. They are not sold or shared with third parties for their independent marketing. Service providers may process them only as needed to deliver the messaging service. See our Privacy Policy.

6. New Zealand requirements

Commercial electronic messages with a New Zealand link are subject to the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007. Businesses using GoodBuddy must obtain the required consent, identify the sender and provide a functional unsubscribe facility wherever the Act applies.

7. Questions

For a message about a particular booking or business, contact the business named in the message. For questions about GoodBuddy's messaging platform, visit Contact Us.
